Lost 2 Very Special Bettas

maybe you guys can help... ok so i found my female she had fungus on and had been with a male so i took them both out treated them with fungus clear. and waited everything was sterlielized and stuff. the male died first and it was really quick less than 24 hrs since i discovered it. and the female died today. rip

I'm so sorry for your loss...

I'm not familiar with fungal clear (but I THINK it's an herbal remedy that usually doesn't do too much)... but if it was a fungus and/or flexibacter (columnaris)... some strains of that are very aggressive and there's little you can do to prevent the inevitable. I've been told that Maracyn and/or Maracyn II are excellent antibiotics to use to treat these problems. And also very clean water that's changed regularly will help keep problems at bay and even help to overcome them.

But it sounds like there was little you could do b/c it happened so quickly. I'm sorry. Take care...
