When I arrived home this evening, I found 2 of my neon tetras and silver-tipped shark catfish dead - however, I never found one of the tetras body. Is there a chance that my catfish ate the dead tetra and then died? Everyone else - 3 zebra danios, 2 angels, 2 white clouds, a couple algae eaters, and 3 of the remaining 4 tetras seem to be fine. The 4th tetra has a couple white spots! OH NO!

I am concerned for the other fish at this time. I just did a water change earlier this week. I do have a lot of the brownish algae on the rocks and plants (live plants), but my newest algae eater is working on it pretty well.

Any ideas?

By the way, I am from North Carolina, USA.

Post water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph, what size tank how many fish, and which kind, also how big are the whitespots if they look like they have been sprinkled in salt it is whitespot, also if not where were the white spots on the fish.
