Hi I just woke up this am and saw I lost 3 yellow swordtails.I have had them for well over a month and they seemed to be doing well
I checked all my levels and the checked out fine
the temp was always at the same reading,Im totally confused at what might have happened
I do have other fish in my tank. Maybe some other fish might have done it ?
here is a list of the type of fish I have. I have a 48gal tank with bio wheel and canister filter

3 red mollies
2 dalmation mollies
2 blue gromies
3 scissor tail tetras
3 cory catfish
4 silver tetras
1 pleco catfish
2 sunburst gromies

Is there something I need to be aware of or do to save me from such a sad sight
My tank levels have been great for a few months now. all suggestions will be helpful

Im not sure about the compatibility..it sounds ok, but I have had horrible luck with swordtails dying for no apparent reason. I wont be getting anymore.

Any symtoms to go on.

Any symtoms to go on.
No symptoms to speak of. I did notice the artificial plants I have were knocked over
the swordtails were fine the evening before last night eating and swimming playfully.
Im kind of leaning towards a attack by some other fish.
can that be possible even after a fairly long time together with my other fish ?

Have you changed or added anything to the tank recently?
also where the swords males or females?
As far as adding anything new to the tank no I havent
and the swordtails were 2 males and 1 female
I did do a small water change but I did de chlorinate it before adding it to the tank

There's no compatibility issues there that I can see.

Swordtails are generally quite hardy. I still have a male swordtail from when I first re-started with tropical fish
and he really has been through a lot, to hell and back many times over. He's still going strong and one of the
most active fish I have :)

Can you post your exact level readings?
