:S :S hi can someone help i bought an angel fish 3 weeks ago and he seemed to be doing fine he is silver with black stipes over the last few days he seems to be changing only for a minute or so to a lighter black almost grey.

does anybody know what his problem is, hope somebody can help

thanks

It's normal. my silvers go to nearly all silver during water changes, after the commotion they go back to their normal colors. Their colors show up the best right before & during spawning.

Maybe he's stress out...fish normally loses their color if they are scared, sick, or stressing....

Depends on the type of fish. For some fish, the appearance of lines can indicate stress. I know this is true with adult severums and with rams, 2 other cichlids.

For the silver angels, as Tolak said, it's perfectly normal to see their stripes appear and disappear :)

There's no gestation time as gestation only applies to livebearers. With angels, the female lays the eggs and the male swims over them and fertilizes them :)
