I'm trying to plan a 70 gallon tank for next year. I plan to put 9 platies, 5 Marbled hatchetfish (Still up for debate have to talk to hubby), 1 pleco and 3 Honey Gourami (Still up for debate have to talk to hubby) in the tank. So I don't want a large Corydora catfish in the tank. My choices are Panda, Peppered, or Threestripe. A lot of this is still up for debate due to the fact I haven't fully talked to my hubby since he hasn't been home since the weekend before last and I want this to be an aquarium the whole family can enjoy. I am pulling more to the Peppered species.

My question is can anyone help me with the hardness for these three species and if I can just keep 3 of either one or if each species requires a different amount. I might buy up to 5 but right now I'm not sure I've never really tried to create a whole community. I usually just stick with one type of fish in my 10 gallon.

6 is the minimum school requirement. :good: Peppered cories are my favorite, had one for 2 years but had to give him away. Beutiful as they shine in the light, and extremely hardy.

leopards are my favorite, they are one of the most entertaining fish i have :good:
