For a long time not the following fish have been together just great.

1 Gourami
4 Swordfish
1 Betta

Could I add two Silver Dollars or Angelfish?

I am asking about compatability here.

Thanks!

Male Betta, regular blue Gourami, and yes a swordtail.

The tank is a 35 gallon tall hexgon.

Are they compatable?

I don't think you could keep an angel in a tank that size, I think a hexagon would not give them enough room. I have 4 angels and the oldest is about 5" long and just as high.

Also, with your tank being tall you will not have a big surface area and this has an impact on how many fish you can keep (just for reference).

Silver Dollars like to be in groups of 4-6, grow to 6"/150mm and really like swimming space - they are completely unsuitable for hex tanks.

I have had all of these fish together before and they got along fairly well. However i am not sure about the amount of surface space in a hex tank so i cannot say that it would give enough space for your new additions. In a rectangular tank of the same capacity i would say go ahead. Also plants or other hiding places would be a good idea just in case.
