I like to know what is the longest fish that survived in your tank, what size of tank? For how many years or month?

my common pleco i've had for 2 years now. i had him when i first started the hobby. 30 gallon

i have had a weather loach for like 3 years or something obserred now. she's around 8 inches long and look extremely healthy. also, it's alot easier to sex this loach at this size :shifty:
the worst thing about it is she was in like a 5 gallon tank when i first bought her  that was in the days where i had no idea about fish and thought, ohh its a small fish now so it'll fit in a small tank. ohh the mistakes lol
she's happy now and has scattered eggs twice but i've not been able to catch them  before they've been eaten.
she's now comfortably happy with one male and one female friend :fun: so nothing but the best for my loverly weather loach

Had a Clown knife, just shy of 3' (about 90 CM I think) Kept in a 300 us gallon tank. I had him about 10 years before loosing almost all my fish within a couple months at the beginning of this year.

I have 3 black fin tetras that I bought before I retired 6 1/2 years ago. They are in a 20g tank with other fish. Don T.

My raphael catfish is about 5-7 years old and my moonlight gouramis i have had for 3 years and were owned for about 4 years before.

lol my 17cent comet goldfish, lasted me 6 years in a 60gallon indoor pond and reached 8.5" in length :p

O yeh forgot about goldfish i have one which is ancient.

Marvellous! I have five weather loaches, the largest of which I have had for getting on for 2 years, and I love them all to bits! How do you sex these fish?

On the subject of the longest surviving fish, two of my WCMM's I have had for over 3 years and - touch wood - they are still going strong.

think about koi! lol i bet some one says something like "ohh i've had a koi for 200+ years now" lollz

females have smaller dorsal fins. by saying this, it should be very easy for you to look at the loaches and tell which ones are males and females. their dorsal fins hardly change through out their lives you see. if you have a picture of them i'd be happy to try and sex them for you.

i've got a neon thats 5 now, had since he was in my first ever tank

Hi,

After failing my 1st driving test i bought some gold fish. Only one of those lives today. Got the fish around 6 october 2003 and he now lives in a 80l tank. He must be 6 inches long and eats like no tomorrow.
