My female guppy has a long white poo hanging from her.

Is this an internal parasite?

Yesterday I noticed she was doing alot of normal colour poo's, and then over night I had to get up and I looked at them in the tank and saw she had a really long brown poo.

Now this morning its a big long white one.

What could it be? What should I do?

Hello someone?

Someone must know what it is???

Everytime the white poo drops off, another one starts.

I want to get onto this problem asap before it gets out of control.

What does it look like? fluffy and falls apart?

It could just be constipated... try some shelled cooked peas and see if that clears him up first

Is it stringy or quite thick like normal poo? Has the fish been fed anything white do you know?
If its stringy then it could be stress, poor diet, parasites, bacteria. The white is the white blood cells coming away from the wall of the intestines.

Well its very thin long white poo. Very very thin like a peice of cotton.

And yes I did some reading and I am going to give her some peas soaked in garlic water. She always has peas but I didnt know garlic water can combat parasites.

Well, poor mumma fish died. :rip:

Hopefully the others dont get it too.

R.I.P.
I've had fish in the past with long stringy cotton poo mainly livebearers, its not always internal parasites, mine was bacterial infection.
