Long Fin Neon Tetras?

I went to a different fish shop, and found some long fin serpae tetra. then i noticed some long fin neon tetras! they looked really nice.. might get some

They also had Galaxy Rasboras... I want some of these but they are a bit too small for my new tank

it was a much better shop than what im used to lol

yeah i saw long fin neons in a lfs down my way a while ago dont know if they are an actual bona fide species or if they are "manmade" ie bred to look like that

they are very prone to finrot

I don't like them because tetras love to constantly have little friendly nips at each other - long finned tetras are just going to have ripped fins all the time (like congo tetras, but worse and not really pretty looking IMO).

I must admit I've been tempted by the long fin black widows before, but usually I prefer fish the way they thrive in the wild.

yeah they did seem a bit strange. their bodies werent as long as the normal ones..
