I have a platy in my 100ltr tank, he was born in my other tank and after too many fry all females and most males were gave to a friend and lfs. I left the tank with 3 red wagtail platys (male) they chased each other around and were pretty happy until 2 unexpected deaths on the same day (no bodys still a mystery). Would my platy get on with 3 different males all different colours?

yep 5+ is good number to have, male platy tend to shoal very nicely infact more than most fish that are known to be shoalers  and play quite roughly and often mistaken for fighting but its just harmless fun, to get a good shoaling affect a tank that is 60L+ is best, on the other hand females dont shoal dont ask me why i dont know but all my females are the most miserable fish ive got :hyper: :hyper: and stay well away from eachother but only get together when its feeding time.

my guppies tend to shoal too, they are always together they all follow the biggest female its quite relaxing to watch :good:
