I was hoping for a bit of advice, I have purchased 3 peppered corys but two stick together and the other is left by itself. :/
The other two stick together no matter what is this just a case of  and will the other cory be ok or does he/she need some more friends?

TIA

Hi Kipper_Face :)

This isn't normal behavior for corys since they don't even pair up for spawning. They are strictly schooling fish and usually it's a matter of the more the merrier.

First I would suggest you keep watch on him to be sure the reason for him being by himself is not due to sickness. If you are sure he is healthy, you might try increasing the size of your school. Once there is a larger group, he will almost certainly become part of it. :D

I have the same thing currently happening. I have 3 corys. Two of them swim against the front glass all day back and forth near the upper half, it's as if they are on crack. The other one acts like a normal cory. He spends all his time exploring and looking food on the bottom swimming around all day. Occasionally he'll start swimming against the glass for a session too.

All my other fish are perfectly normal swimming around as they should. The only other fish that swims against the glass if the Betta. It's pretty weird, if not distracting with two Corys continously swimming across the front glass.

I have four three line corys... 3 stay pretty much together, chasing up and down the glass... the fourth is just as active around the tank but prefers to be apart from the other three... miserable g*t!...

that happens too with my 3 panda cories. 2 stay together most of the time & the other kinda hangs out either by itself or sometimes with the albinos.

I have 4 peppered cories left (after a death last summer). Three of them team up and 1 stays alone- which had me worried until I realised it isn't always the same 3! The group is always centered around my biggest female, and can then include either the 2 males or 1 male and the other female.
