Lonely Male Mollie?

i was wandering if you can keep just one male on his own in a community that has platys ect,or do they need females ?. .

wiould be best if there was females but you could keep it on its own.

Mollys are 'brackish'... ie, they will do better with a little salt added to the water... don't ask me how much though!...

wouldn't stress your plays out to much if at all, mollies do prefer brackish but can do well in fresh water, amount of salt depends of size of tank, i wouldn't add salt with platys in the tank though.

1 tbl spooon of aquarium salt per 5 gallons will do them the world of good

thanks again GUPPYMAD,i wont be adding any salt like you said they can be fresh water,my lfs had them as fresh and ive got clowns anyway. .all the best DONNA.
