as some people know i just had a major outbreak of white spot lost many many of fish an to cut a long story short i had to angels that had been together since birth and the bigger of the two died, i went to the lfs and asked can i add more and hope the original will pair of again but he said no is this true? if so what can i do ?

I don't see why the orginal fish wouldn't pair off again. it isn't like they pair off for life. if I had to interpret what the lfs was saying is that older cichlids are hard to get to pair off. but it isn't unheard of.

As the newer fish mature, they may pair with the older angel. Plenty of breeders split up & re-pair pairs once they determine their sex. My main concern would be that the remaining angel would have establised the tank as it's territory, and may show aggression towards newcomers.

It would be best to get at least 2 new angels, 3 would be better. Pull the older angel out temporarily, re-arrange the tank a little & add the new angels. After a few days add the older angel, see how they get along. If the older angel picks on one of the newer ones, you can return the youngster, eventually you will find a fish or 2 that are compatable. Given time, you may get a pair, or at least have a couple of fish that get along without aggression.

so as long as remove the original angel add 3 more and then re introduce the other and watch for any fights all should be ok :D are there any other chiclids that are easy to keep that would do well in a tank with angels?

Yes, that's the best way to introduce new angels :)

What size tank and what else do you have in there?

its a 3ft tropiquarium 88 and at the mo there is 2 kissing gouramis and a feather fin syno in there everything eles died during the white spot i have room to move the fish around if i need to

In a 35 gallon with multiple angels (I would only get 2 more for 3 total) AND 2 kissing gouramis (which are likely going to outgrow your tank - they get to 8+") I wouldn't add in any other cichlids. You could *maybe* get away with a pair of rams or something, but I wouldn't chance it.
