Hi everyone, this is a bit of a premature post as I haven't even got the tank yet. After much nagging my boyfriend has caved and said I can have a 2nd tank in the bedroom (hurrah!). I am planning on getting a 12" cube that would hold 25L with a small internal filter, heater and light. I have some cycled biological media and substrate that I can nick from my rena 100 cube so should be able to get the tank ready for fish reasonably quickly. Just wanted opinions on whether a tank this size would be suitable for a single beautiful male? I am either going to plant the tank heavily with anubias, java moss and other hardy plants or I am going to try and create a miniature rice paddy (with real rice plants non the less!) for the little fella. All opinions and advice gratefully received, really excited about the prospect of my first betta!

Since nobody else has answered, yes the tank will be fine for a single male betta.

I like the sound of how it will look with the plants as well.

Sounds great.....either of those would be perfect for a boy on his own. Coconut caves are also very popular with Betta keepers and the Bettas love them too and will quite often make them their home for sleeping in :good:
