Local Hobbyist Selling Discus

I will be getting some good sized Discus from a local hobbyist hopefully. I was looking at my LFS and they had one tank full of 2" for 36 dollars I called another store, they has some 3" for 40 dollars. I looked at my local aquarium classifieds and found someone selling mature Discus (5"+) for only 30 dollars who is flexable with price! I have sent her an e-mail with a few questions, so we will see how well they are kept. She says she has some Blue Diamons, Brilliant Turks, Red Melon, and some White Pegieon Blood.

Thats a good price DiscusLover, hobbyists and breeders usually have better quality fish. You want to look for pigeonbloods with no or very minimal peppering especially if you want to breed with them, and size of eyes should be small and not large for proportion of body size as this is a sign of stunting and good round body shape.

Have you guys ever heard of the white pegieon blood color morph?

do get some pictures if possible . as far as i know, the discus here in my area costs a bomb. there's this one tank with 4 discus that look like they came from heaven. red leopard snake they labelled it. the owner wasnt even willing to sell them.

Nice! I didn't get any pictures though



I just went to look and reserve them. I got one Red Melon female, and the last White Piegeon Blood. They are amazing! Very healthy, and very big! I would can say they where almost the size of dinner plates! Only cost me 80 dollars for both!
