Local Fishing Lake

Hello all, ive had an idea recently about a lake that is connect by a small stream off a river in my area. I often catch small perch and stickle backs in there. would i be able to take a couple home to house in my 30 gallon or should i just stick with the goldies?

Stick with the goldies as you would forever be lugging buckets of water from the river. I think its illegal anyway to take sticklebacks from a natural environment. They would probebly die any way from a lack of food.
