Local Club Or Helpful Locals

Hi, first post. Just about to start up in the hobby and looking for details of local aquarist club. I've e-mailed the chairman of the Scottish Aquarist Society and the secretary of my local club, Lanarkshire AS but have not received any replies. Anyone know times,places etc, where the meetings take place ?. Are their any local aquarists who would allow me to visit them and see their set up so that i can get first hand advice/tips. lastly, looking for good shops in my area to purchase good,healthy stock, cheers, Alan.

Hi Alan,
As an ex avid member of Bradford and District AS. I know the benefits of belonging to a local Aquarist club.
I have had a look around the Scottish site to see if there's another lead to make contact. Alas it all comes back to the Sec. which you've already tried to contact.
Try going into your local Aquarists shop and ask around, there's bound to be a Lanarkshire member/s frequent the shop/s. Ask the staff, there may well be recruitment flyers around the walls. Also send emails to affiliated SAAS clubs, some Sec's from another club/s may well have telephone numbers to contact your desired club.
