right i went to my LFS 2day, and i looked at the tank im gonna buy (again,i always do wen i go in!) and asked the guy how many fish i cud keep in it...(u guys said about 10) and the guy at the LFS said o if u were keeping really small fish like neons u cud keep about 9 of them and mayb 2 pygmy's or bronze corydoras and a blue ram or a gouriami of some sort :D now i know that MOST LFS staff talk out there............ but he sounded like he had a point! small fish with less watse = more fish, but i just need to check to b on the safe side. so...... :alien:

the black neons only get about an inch..
wud u be happy wih that stocking if u had a 10g?

He should have pointed out that there is a big difference in size between pygmy corydoras (1 inch and a bit) and bronze corys (up to 3 inches), also that a pair of corys is hardly an ideal arrangement, as they are schooling fish.

A small school of corys and a small school of neons would be fine, but a school of bronze corys would fill that tank straightaway.

cheers, i think ill get the pygmy's:

3 Pygmy corys,
8 black neons,
.
