are these the harmless ones? my tank has been cycling and today has been about week and something and a load of worms has appeared.

should i do a water change to get rid of them?

Hey, I'm in the exact same situation as you, and I found a bunch of these worms in the middle of cycling as well. Yesterday I tried raising the temperature to about 32C and it seems like this has either killed them or driven them into hiding, unfortunatly its also made my tank very cloudy. Here's my original topic about it

Little white worms usually are planaria and are associated with overfeeding, but since both of your tanks are cycling i'm not sure. do you use fish food to cycle?

I don't mind planaria myself. I actually leave it in my tanks as extra fish food and fry love it. I purposely overfeed my breeding tanks for this reason. Its mostly up to owner, liek algae, some don't mind it some hate it. Again I leave algae... well except for green water algae blooms, but other than thatm I leave it, the fish seem to do better with it. Not sure why, but they appear to. Again this is mostly my breeding tanks, my main tanks get it eaten by the plecos :D The worms won't hurt anything as long as they are planaria.

this was before i got all the fish and sand and plants and all that. but thanks today one of those one day bugs was on he glass and one of my clouds was trying to eat it :)
