I have a pangio oblonga loache that I have had for close to a year. We started out with 3 and 1 died (along with a couple of other fish) due to being attacked by a new betta that has since been put into his own tank. One of the loaches that is left had a white bump come up on his nose several days ago. I watched to see if he had any changes, I thought he may have hurt it when he digs under the gravel. He does not seem to have changed any, no rubbing, no heavy breathing as far as I can tell. It is hard to tell with him because he and the other one do not move around a whole lot and like to hide unless they are startled and then you see them go wild. I looked this morning and the bump looks like it is either gone and left a white spot or it has gone down like deflated or something. I do not see any red around it. Yesterday he started getting a white spot on his fin and this morning it looks like it has gone to his other fins. It looks like he has snow on just the ends of his fins. He is little so I don't know if it is bumpy, it just looks like he was laying outside and was snowed on. It is just on the very ends of his tail and his other fins. I have not seen anything else on him. We never had a problem with any of our fish until my favorite betta died several months back and my husband and kids bought me two more to cheer me up. We put one in this tank and the other in another tank with our goldfish and koi. The betta started after the other fish and we lost 3 of them within a couple of days so he is now in another tank. He looks healthy and the loache did not have any symptons after the betta was moved. We are very new to fish tanks. I had my betta for about a year and he was the first and only fish we had for a while. I do not know what the water levels are or any of that stuff. I do know I noticed some green slimely stuff on some of the gravel. I had cleaned it off the walls of that tank a few weeks ago. I tried to take a picture of the loache but he will not cooperate. Please help me.
