Yeah, thread is for stories where loaches make us look like idiots, or trick us someohow.

I'll go first:

I had a bunch of my friends who knew nothing about fish with me when I went to buy my kuhli loaches--

As a coutesy to the shop, I decided to catch my own. It took me more than 15 minutes to catch 4, all the while my friends were watching and laughing as the little loaches made a fool of me, zipping around, diving under rocks and wood and under their sand and me getting sweaty from exertion and frustration.

well i sawa my clowns upside down, i know they like to do that but i just could've swore that he was dead! i went to try and scoop him up and i feel like being laughed at  :hyper: :grr:

my clowns spend ages ttormenting my kitten

they know the exact place to hang out so that she can just about reach the tank from the arm of the settee

just as shes getting close they move, but not too far, just enough that she has to reach to try and get them and then... wham... happens every time, she falls on the flaw..and i swear the clowns roll about laughing at her

I've panicked looking for missing clown loaches . . . to find them nestled inside the filter.

Had to tie up the intake pipe with nylon to prevent it from happening again.

Brother got a kuhli loach for his tank, and the thing kept disappearing for days at a time, making us move the gravel and scare the other fish looking for him, until we figured out he was going into the tubes for the underground filter. He'd spend all that time hiding out down there.

Mine float upside down on the surface of the water....they even drift in the current...heres me thinking they are dead.....proceed to get the net....and off they swim.....LAUGHING all the way.....

And they do the same thing to my dog....he lurches at them then falls off the couch....poor puppy...naughty loaches

I found one of my Khulis taking residence up in my HOB filter. I have 5 of them, or I hope I still do but I've only been able to find 2 at a time so I looked there, knowing loaches and their penchant for hiding in filter outflows and sure enough, there one was. I'm fairly certain the others are camped out in the sand somewhere.

My loaches clean my pleco. He used to get mad and swim to another spot. But now he gets along with them and it's like a "pleco wash."

BTW, is bannana a good choice for loach food?
