My coworker has a tank and she keeps talking about Lurch her loach and how big he is. She said he looked like a snake and I was like "Oh I can probably ID him." Well she took a picture and I couldn't. :look:

So I need help you guys. Here are some pics of him. She says he's about 5 inches.

I'm almost sure it's a Weather Loach (Misgurnus anguillicaudatus / fossilis)
Can grow to around 20-24 cms..

I second that, definately a weather/dojo loach. They're cool because when it's about to rain (barometric pressure drops), they swim so crazy around the tank because they're sensitive to the change, hence the name "weather loach".

Pretty sure its a Weather Loach... unfortunatly theres a nasty disease going round that is affecting all the weather loaches from our suppliers, so i haev been fishing dead Weather loaches out of the quarentine tanks all week :( And they sure look like this guy, although not as big/fat :p

i agree with the weather loach...
and a very nice one :D

Thanks guys! I showed her this page and she was like, "OMG they called my baby fat!!!!"

She went and got a measuring tape to see how long 25cm was. Then she went on for 10 minutes about how he moves the decorations around. She loves that thing
