I always had a really lousy camera phone to take pictures of my tanks for my journal threads. This was as frustrating for me as it was for my friends here at TFF, who had to look at them and squint. :(

I borrowed a digital camera from a friend, and while it's not the best, it is a big improvement over my camera phone. So enough writing on to the tanks!

Thank you for taking the time to look at my pictures. It's going to be sad dismantling these tanks, but I'm moving to Miami, FL so, I really can't take the tanks with me. :-( On a more positive note, I will be shipping fish and plants to my Miami address where a spacious 36g is waiting for the new arrivals. And of course, new tanks will be setup! I have a severe case of MTS, which will only get worse down there. :p

Your tanks are beautiful!!! :D It's so sad that you have to take them apart but what can you do? At least you know that you will have an even bigger tank to play with when you get there!

As a fellow Floridian, let me give you a word of caution. You will love living in Florida for the most part, but hurricanes are a fact of life here and it would be a really, really good idea to invest in some battery powered air pumps and a bunch of batteries. Unless you plan on buying a generator that is! ;) Having some sort of aeration is going to be important if you lose power for any length of time.
During the 2004 season, we had two major hurricanes come through where I live. The first one took out the power for 7 days and everything survived but the second came just 28 days later and took the power out for 10 days. All my freshwater fish survived this but my reef tank bombed. Only two fish and a shrimp from that tank lived through this. :( I highly doubt anything would have lived if I didn't have those battery powered pumps! BTW you can buy them at Wal-Mart or any store that carries fishing tackle. They're pretty cheap, I think I paid $6 for mine.
Good luck with your move! :)

....I'm stealing your anubias!!!!! :ninja: .....

Really, you're going to fly to Champaign, IL, sneak into my apartment, not wake up my Pomeranian, and steal my anubias. I'd like to see you try!

I've lived in FL for 14 years. My family moved after Andrew. My mom saw three hurricanes this year (Katrina, Wilma, and Rita), Katrina killed my goldfish. So I will definitely invest in some battery-powered air pumps.

Thanks for the compliments, I will miss these tanks. :-(
