Liverwort.......?

anyone have any experience with this type of plant?
i received some from malaysia and im letting it sit in the container in my tank till i get some more info..thanks

What species of liverwort is it? Liverwort refers to the type of plant it is, in this case a very basic plant without the typical stems, leaves etc. One example is Riccia fluitans.

thanks George..its round pellia..a jellylike plant..so do i take the individual leaves and tie them on?
your right theres no root like structure or real leaves/stems at all.thanks

I have a big bunch of that in my 15gallon, it started off a few months ago, bought from someone on another forum. Came as 5 sprigs, each 5cm long, and is now maybe 20-25cm in diameter and about 10cm high in the middle of the bunch: I think I've had it in the tank for 3 months now. Grows pretty well, my tank is low light (1wpg) and minimal CO2. I'll be putting some into my aquacube soon which is really why I bought it. I just tied the sprig to a pebble and let it get on with itself!

It does send down very fine thread-like 'roots' and it seems to anchor to things 'to a degree' though unsure if it is actually rooting.

man i cant figure out how to take a good pic for nothin!
anyways i did a quik cleaning and tied the pellia and fissidens to a piece of wood.we shall see what happens.
now i dont try to aquascape by anymeans. gave that up a long time ago.i just fill it up with plants for the look of it.now
