hello all, first time post in the Livebearers section :)

My question is, would it be ok to have Livebearers with dwarf cichlids?

Bolivian rams, Blue Rams, Kribs or dwarf cockatoos?

im looking into platys, guppy or sword tails...

any advice welcome :)

thanks

Kev

Ive got a bolivian ram in 2 of my tanks and a gold ram in another .They seem to live quite happily with swordtails, high fin swordtails, guppies and platys.
However I have not kept a pair with livebearers except when my kribs were breeding and they chased everything!Again when I kept the female krib on her own in the tank she didnt bother the livebearers

It would probably be okay, provided they aren't breeding. I know Kribs and Rams can get nasty when they are breeding, chasing everything around. Livebeaers don't generally tend to be near the bottom a whole bunch...but it still might cause trouble. If you got two females, or just kept them singly, they will be good. I have Rams, and Kribs in some of my tanks with Livebearers, and they get along just fine. :) Don't know if I'd risk Guppies with Kribs though....
