I'm wanting to replace the bio balls and carbon in my nano cube with live rubble but just have few questions.

how much live rubble should i put in the middle chamber.

does it need a light

and can i just take out the bio balls and add the live rubble with out setint off any type of cycling process which mite affect the fish

and will this reduce nitrates

thanks alot

if you want a reef tank then take out the bio-balls i dont have any live rubble. Just the two sponges carbon and ceramic rings.

I found the carbon rings in my nano gave me high nitrates, so I'd recommend replacing the bio balls with live rubble, Just add it over a few days so there is no shock to the stock, and the carbon I would only use it one week of a month?

my opinion
