Ok, so im buying some live rock, 10kgs at £30.
which I carnt refuse!
But im just wondering, im aiming to get it the night before I get the tank.
How would I keep it alive?
Would I need a powerhead to be moving the water constantly?

YF

Will have to be kept submerged in salt water with a heater and powerhead ..light isn't required but heat and circulation are a must unfortunately to prevent excessive die off..then give a quick rinse in a bucket of salt water before adding to your tank.

put it in saltwater with a heater and good flow :good:

thats it :)

Ah fair enough.
Instead of powerheads, would you be able to keep the rock in a container and several airstones?

YF

i suppose that could work. Its not like your having any live stock straigh away so a bit of die off isnt the end of the world. Powerhead would deffinatly better.

Dont you have an old filter you could stick on it without any meida?

Nope.
I sold them all lol.
I might get the LR once I have the tank running.
So then theres no risk of major die off.
What you think?
