Can i put live rock in a tropical fish tank.
The rock has been out of a marine tank for a while.
It has been rinse and soaked several times in freshwater.

live rock, no way! only negative effects will come out of using that. You can put dead coral into some tanks, lots of coral is used to increase the ph in fish tanks with Cichlids in them. The coral will end up dieing and killing your fish along with it. Coral can only be used in saltwater.

What coral? I don't think he ever mentioned anything about coral. I wouldn't use live rock in a freshwater tank. If you're looking for something to raise the pH I would go with lace rock or limestone of some kind.

uh...is it still live rock...sounds like it's been dried out and rinsed multiple times...

It would be alright to use in a hard-water freshwater tank, as long as all dead things are removed.

It wouldn't be live rock for long. Save yourself the trouble and just get some dead coral or something.
