Hello Guys
Just wondering if it is a good thing that my plants are growing upwards and then half way up the stalk are roots coming out...is this a good thing??

My ozygenator did this and then died and plus it is not exactly the prettiest thing to see all the roots coming from half way up the plant...

Does this mean I dont have enough plantamin in the tank?

Any help will be greatfully recieved.

Thanks
Liza

Yay, another person from Somerset.

Stem plants that have extensive root growth up the stem can sometimes mean that the plant is starving, and produces the roots to soak up any nutrients it can get.
You could try dosing a bit more. How much and how often do you dose at the moment?

What is the name of the "oxygenator plant" that died. Was it Water Sprite or Water Wisteria?

Just the bog standard oxygenator (Egeria densa i think) that most LPS sell....I was told it was indestructable....hmmm not for me it seems.

I have just redosed the tank...I only do it every month..i think I am going to start doing it every week just to be on the safe side....I dont want my plants dying on me.

Thanks guys...

Liza
