Live Food

Is it strange that I greatly enjoy watching my Bettas "hunt"
I feed them live mosquito larva from my horse water trough as well as "scuds" from my breeding colony in a refugium...

But I finding it fun watching how excited they get when they see me come up to the side of the tank with the eye dropper. That and some sort of therapy in that they eat baby Mosquitos with such enthusiasm.

Anyone else do this?

1st time i've used live is for my newborn fry, but boy is it fasinating to watch them hunt

It's funny how things evolve:
A few years ago I got fish (guppies) to help control Mosquitos (quite successfully) and while I was in the pet shop getting them I rescued a couple sad Godlfish...
LOL how far we come! now I have live food cultures everywhere and several different species breeding.

Anyway, now full circle, I am feeding mosquito larva to fish again! LOL
