Is this available in most good LFS', as i am feeding my fish once weekly frozen bloodworm, and i wanted to see how they would enjoy liveblood worm as it allows them to swim after it and hunt naturally.
Also, not sure what blood worm is like when its put into a tank live, but do they ever survive long enough and get big enough so that they can't be eaten.
Cheers.

I only use frozen so couldn't say, as live foods can fetch desease into your tank.

:|, i'm so glad i found this website, so much info on it, thanks Wildler.
I'll see what my LFS say, as they have 100s of tanks, yet they are all in prestine condition and the fish look very healthy, as if they produce bloodworm live, then i doubt it would bring disease.

i buy it here in the uk (30p a bag) and it keeps for along time if you leave maybe one bag floating in the water at the top for when you need it, just odont ver feed and your alrite... i hear any left wriggling after 25mins should be removed but when you adf thats not going to happen :p

Blood worms are mainly ok, it's just the tubilex and daphnia, but i never used them so i can't have a really honest answer.

Cheers, should i only use this if there is sign of disease, or is it safe to use even if there isnt a sign of any problems?
Thanks for your help.

well bloodworm? with you having an african dwarf frog.. you should be feading them bloodworm once every other day to keep them happy... they cant get enough of it and it does no harm to your tank if as i say you dont over feed.. fish will quite happily munch it to if it gets in there way.

Well yea i feed them frozen bloodworm, i notice they cant get the food on their own as the other fish eat it all, but i put some infront of his face and he ate it, and i do this (for him) once a day, small amounts. Where as the other fish just get it as a treat once a week. If i put live bloodworm in, will he be able to get it on his own?

a good way might be to (assuming you have some sort of rocks) wait till he is in hiding and just pop a few down the hatch for him... he would have much more chance if you hand feed him into his little house or where ever he spend alot of his time, thnx
