Hi I am new to these forums, I have been keeping tropical fish for a couple of years. And i recently tried to breed a couple of angels ( successfully  ) in a seperate tank.
But in the last couple of day multiple little white 'worms' have appeared on the glass of the tank with the angels in. Some are short and fat others seam a bit longer. But they are all small, no more then 7mm. The two parent angels seam unaffected, But since the angel fry were born they are off their food.

Info on tank: no gravel and a songe filter.

Please can somebody help me to diagnose my problem, will these affect my fish?, Are these worms living inside my angels?

please help :flex:

I had the same thing and was told they are parasites living off the excess food in the tank. Half their food at each serving and perform a 30-40 % water change every week and they should go completely in about 2 weeks.

sorry forgot to add that these things appeared at the same time as a disease outbreak in my tank but don't know wether it was caused by the worms or elevated ammonia levels. They can be quite insidious and may appear to suddenly have overrun your tank, literally I am talking an hour or two and they appear from nowhere, although these mass appearances seem to dissipate just as quickly leaving you with most of the remaining worms hanging around the waterline. If you catch them early enough you may get rid in as little as a few days but keep them on minimal food for at least 3 or 4 days after you see the last one.

called planaria.....and as Bob said ...reduce feeding and increase w/changes. I've had them when I've been overfeeding my guppy fry

Yeah they are planarians. I've had repeated problems with them when I've overfed my Oscar too much. Don't worry they have never hurt the fish. Just keep the tank as clean as possible with minimal food detritus and they'll go away.

thanks to all three of you for putting my mind at rest regarding the 'planarians'

much appricated.

cheers Jon :D
