I've had some little "cherry shrimp" in my tank for a bit now, and when I first got them one had yellow eggs under it!!! There never was any baby shrimp, I'm assuming the different guppies and algae eater and pleco ate them. Well long story short I wanna do a separate little setup just for little shrimp and wanna know the easiest way to tell the difference between sex's please

Females are bigger with what looks like a yellow saddle on their backs, they are more vibrant too, the males are smaller with less colour....

Look at the 'abdomen' of the shrimp, the bit where the swimmerets are, and where the eggs are held in females. In males this part is quite shallow while in females it is quite deep.

All the above are correct. For cherry shrimp the saddle is the easiest way until you learn to tell by the shape or size.

If you are starting from scratch just get 10. Within a couple of months you will have plenty.

You will eventually get to where you can tell just by looking at the skirt on them. Yes. Most fish will eat baby shrimp.
