The littlest fish I have is being bullied. I have him in the with one of his kind, 2 lemon tetrons, 2 tiger barbs, and 2 other types of tetrons or barbs. They are all small fish.

When I was moving stuff around today, he kept trying to get in the things I was moving, and trying to stay where I was away from the other fish. All he does is hide. I'm not even sure if he comes out to eat, I still have to check that out. What do I do? Thanks.

I'm starting to think he may just have poor health. I was observing, and he stayed at the bottom when he was out, and he kept spitting things out and sucking things in. He is shaking like crazy. And now he won't come out of the hiding places and eat! Please help!!!

Edit: I now see his back fin was really nibbled at. What should I do to help it?

You dont say what size of tank you have or what type of fish the bullied one is .
However having only 2 tiger barbs means that they will constantly be nipping/harassing other fish. They are not a good community fish unless kept in sufficient numbers ie5 or 6 so that they squabble amongst themselves and leave the other fish alone.Lemon tetra should be kept in a group as should all tetra
Unfortunately the bullied fish will probably continue to be bullied until it dies unless you can somehow remove it to another tank for treatment.
If your tank is fully or near fully stocked at the minute I would get rid of the tiger barbs pronto.
You should also try and find out what kind of fish your other fish are as there will be no point in getting rid of the tiger barb if you have other fish which are known nippers as well.
Sorry for so much bad news
:/

The fish that is being bullied is either a tetra or barb. It has black vertical lines going down it. I don't have a very good knowledge of fish, but I should know this atleast, sorry. I plan to get 4 more tiger barbs. I still have lots of room left. The size of my tank is 29 gallons.

So, I took him out last night and put him in an ice cream container to look at what happenned. His tail is flat. So, I put him back in, and he is swimming with the other fish and having a good time. An hour or so later, he is back at his hiding place. That is where he is right now. I am using some medicine to get it to grow back.

On Monday I'll see what type of fish it is, and I am going to pick up 4 more tiger barbs and 2 cory's and an algae eater.
