A few days ago I just got this pregnant guppy along with some other fish as well.

Somewhere about 12pm, I noticed that their was one fry lying on the floor of the tank.
I rescued the lil fry and put her in the breeder net.

Now i've got roughly about 12 lil fry.....

I was wondering if you could tell when she is done giving birth?

I am going to put the fry into their own tank, but was wondering if anyone had a method from moving them from a breeder net to the tank.....or should i just pick up the breeder and carefully tip them into the tank?

Thank you fo your comments.

edit- Oh by the way I actually got to see one of the fry coming out of mommy....

Good, I was going to suggest transferring to a tank. ^_^

It's been a while since you posted, chances are that she's done dropping.

Best way to transfer them is with cups, since their gills might collapse en route.

Of course, from now on, just move the female to this tank, so you do not have to deal with moving the fry. :p

COOOOOL, I would love to see pics if you can get them!?!?!

Temp- did you ever take French, or did you mispell IN, en means in, in French, I know because I am in 2nd year French at my High School :p :D

Congratulations on the babies!

As Tempestuousfury mentioned, it's best not to take them out of the water if you can avoid it. Yogurt cups work pretty well, in my experience. Just make sure the tank you're moving them to has close to the same water parameters. You don't want to shock them in the move. If it doesn't, just acclimate them like any other fish.

Blitztidus, "en route" is a very common saying, not just in French. :)

I was just asking, (I know but still, JUST ASKING), how about you anna, know any French :p

Not sure if you're in the UK or not or if not you have these but what i've used to move fry about(molly) is one of them little medicene cups you get with kids stuff like Calpol. It's only small but does the job or if not then a small kids plastic cup?

Thanks for all of your replies. I thought no one cared....lol... :p

Unfortunatly I do not have a cam. to take any pics.

My gf's sister has a web cam, but im pretty sure the fishies wouldn't care for a 2 block trip for a "photo shoot".

Its hard to tell exactly how many fry their is, but the highest I counted so far was either 13 or 14.
