Hi all,
I recently set up my first tank (100L), and started off with 4 Platys to cycle the tank. I lost one to ich, but the other three are thriving.

Since then I've added (gradually) 4 Zebra Danios (2 long-finned and 2 short-finned), 4 Yamato Shrimps, a pair of Neon Blue Dwarf Gouramis and half a dozen Neon Tetras.

All the fish were looking very happy and were getting along nicely, but the other evening I noticed that one of the long-finned Zebra Danios was listing at around 45 degrees as it was swimming, and didn't appear to be eating. I also noticed that the other Danios and the Platys were all having a go at it whenever they saw it.

I assumed he'd be dead by morning, but a week later he's still there, and as far as I can tell he doesn't appear to have got any worse - although I still haven't seen him eat anything.

Any ideas?

I would place him in a breeding net to seperate him from the rest. As for a cause, I'll let someone else comment, but seperating it will help it in the mean time.

well prob want to quarentine the fish asap if you don't know whats wrong. Keeping him a breeders net could still contaminate the rest of the tank if he is contagious. Once quarentined, post this issue in the emergency section where there are tons of people will most likely give you response within 10 minutes identifying exactly what is wrong with your fish :good:

IMO, sounds like there is a swim bladder issue or could be an internal fungus that is messing with it's nervous system. But, again, post in the emergency section asap
