Eheim Professional 2026 x2 : 9/10 (would be 10/10, but blooming heavy/awkward when I need to take it out of the cabinet for maintenance every 3-4 months, lol)

Eheim Pro II 2026 7/10

Never really been happy with the amount of bits floating in the water, just bought 5 meters of filter wool and cut 2 pads for it , its a bit better with the 2 pads but still not 100% happy..

if i had enough room in my cabinet i would have went for the tetratec 1200

Kev

Tetratec EX700 - Awesome price, awesome filter.
Quiet
Easy to setup
Does a great job
Easy to maintain

9/10

Fluval FX5, 9/10 super power, easy to set up no priming needed.

Aquaone CF500, 6/10 a bit cheap fair bit of maintainence needed

Eheim pro 2028- good filter, bit pricey. 9/10

Eheim pro 2080- there are two intakes on the 2080 and on my filter the right intake draws less water than the left. Id prefere 2 2028's rather than 1 2080. 7/10

Eden 501 nano External - Very Good Price, easy to use and Very Quiet, Great Filtration. = 10/10
Eheim Pro 2026 - Came with new 90G - Very Easy to use after figuring it out. Need to change some layers for poly wool. = 8/10

eheim ecco 2232 - 8/10 Excellent filter, very powerful for something that uses 6w i think! Extremely quiet! it makes a gentle humming noise that you can only hear when close up to it! LOTS of bio filteration. The manual primer to start the flow was really good and clean! Didnt like that it didnt come with a spray bar or any add-ons like the fluval alternative.

Fluval 305: It's only 8 months old, but 10/10 so far. Silent, and easy to clean without getting water everywhere. Price wasn't terrible, for a canister. $10 cheaper than the Rena, which was my only other option locally.

Aqua One CF700 (8.5/10) - Excellent filter for its price, easy to clean, quite when running, good filtration and really easy to set up.

Ive just purchased a eheim classic 2215 and its working brilliantly. All those who worry about priming the filters....dont! Its so easy to do especially with the valves that come with the plus!
A brilliant filter I used to have the fluval 305 had nothing but trouble with that. Although that was after a year of use.
Anyway Ehiem 2215 8/10 only reason its not 10 is the cost of the upgraded media!

Eheim 2211 - 7/10 (8/10 when you add disconnecting flow valves)

Eheim 2324 - 9/10 (would be 10 if it had some priming tech inbuilt)

AquaEl 250: A bit pricey, but excellent quality and comes with built in UV. 9/10

Eheim 2213: Very cheap, excellent quality but a tad awkward to prime, even with the taps. 8/10

Resun Cyclone CY20: A bit pricey, but a first rate nano tank filter. 8/10

Dave.

TetraTec EX700 10/10. No noise, water crystal clear always, no maintainance for at least 2 month intervals, no leakage and very very easy to handle and use.
