Hello,

I currently have a Plant only tank with some dwarf grass, Alternanthera reniki mini, Helanthium quadricostatus, and Staurogyne repens.
They are planted in regular sand with Thrive Caps and CO2 injected. Currently seeing a lot of growth and very happy with the progress.
My question is, I do have a large bottle of unopened NILOCG Thrive All In One Liquid Fertilizer, is there going to be a noticeable difference and a benefit if I use it as well or am I opening the door to an imbalance of nutrients and algae to form?

Thank you!

What is Thrive Caps and what is in it?

In Australia we have a powder plant fertiliser called Thrive that is used on terrestrial plants. It is not suitable for fish tanks. If you have another type of fertiliser with that name, then post the ingredients and maybe a link to it so we can make sure it's fish safe.

Hi Colin!

This is the link to their website, definitely fish safe, I for sure would have thought it was a brand recognized in Australia, learn something new every day. The liquid fertilizer I am referring to is also at the bottom of the page.

Thank you

It has a lot of potassium, which aquatic plants don't use.
It looks a lot like a terrestrial plant food for citrus or other fruiting/ flowering plants.

For me that answers your question. Finding the right balance can be tricky. If you are happy with it today why mess with it?
