Seen some of these for sale and seriously tempted.I know you shouldn't mix African and SA cichlids but for complicated reasons (had fish dumped on me) my cichlic tank has 2 female cons, a severum, 3 jewels and an unknown Malawi. Thay have got on surprisingly well togehter for several months with just a few chases and no serious fights (tank was set up last October).Would these guys fit in with them or are they likely to be bullied/ kill their tank mates?

I'd be very concerned if I was to mix any Lake Malawi cichlids (the Labeotropheus fuelleborni?) with my four juvenile Steatocranus Lionheads! I'm not in a position to comment on your South American cichlids, as I have not read enough about them...

Thanks very much for the warning -lionheads are obviously wimps as cichlids go, nothing like Malawi, Jewels etc. Will have to keep them in a species tank if I get them. What about the fuelleborni -will they be OK with jewels?
