Well...my tank is finally running at full speed. Got all my rock and the new skimmer set up (although the skimmer is causing problems, see hardware thread). The puffer has aclimented well to his new home. Im ready to pick up the lionfish that i had planned on. My LFS has a Fu Manchu lion in stock, and since ive been looking for one for three months, i bought it and will be bringing it home next week. That being said, Two of the pocket guides I have for marine fish recommend feeding both the puffer and the fu 3 times a day. This seems a little excessive to me. I try to do daily, but I know some folks even think thats too much. Thoughts on this?

From what i'v read about lionfish, they can die from being over fed, and should only be fed 3 times a week. You should feed until you see a small bulge in the lions stomach. Once a day is too much IMO, for the lionfish not sure about the puffer

It all depends on how much you feed. Feeding a fully grown volitans 3 prawns a day is not going to do any damage.

You have two options with predatory fish, either keep drip feeding them little but often, or gorge them every few days. The latter is more natural, but the former is unlikely to do any real lasting damage.
