I was wondering if a Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish will be ok with a clownfish and a royal gramma. my friend has a 90 gallon with one and he has a couple damsels with the lion and the lion doesnt even look at them let alone eat them. any help would be great thanks

well if you buy a live annenomi the clown can hide in it from the lionfish , but im not even sure if the lion will bother him in the first place

how big is ur tank? how long has ur buddy had the lion with some damsels in there? :hyper: thats surprising since i always hear snd see damsels being used as food for lions, then again anything smaller than the lions mouth is food. i wouldnt go out to buy an anemone for the clown, thats too much money, cuz then u need better lighting, etc. its a risk to add it, but i think it could be done, if u have a lot of LR, the worst is, the clown will hide a lot. it all depends on how u feel, and how much u like ur clown

And when the clowns come out to feed - the lion eats them

Adding an Anemone is a very big decision & one that should only be done after extensive reasearch

IMO you have a choice - Either have a Community Tank or a Predetor Tank

Adding a preditory fish to a community will only result in one thing

its a fuzzy dwarf lion (dendrochirus branchyopterus) not the devil lion (Pterois miles) you were after? fuzzy dwarfs only get to about 17cm max
i very much dout that it will be able to get a clown in its mouth.

the fumanchu lion only grows to about 13cm may be more suited to keep with the clowns.
