I heard that feeder minnows cause liver damage to this fish so I was wondering how about guppies seem to be the only option but I don't want to breed them again but I may have to are guppies a better fish to breed?

All freshwater fish that are used for feeders on salt water carry too much fat and can cause damage if used too often.

Navarre is right. Only feed them occasionally. Not as an everyday food source.

why cant u get ghost shrimp? I have always wondered if SW mollies would be Ok. Ask navarre and if he says yes try converting them to sw and then feeding them to the lion. He may just take squid soaked in garlic though so try that first.

I cant find any ghost shrimp I could look I now I can get them on the internet but I need another alternative then paying 25 dollars for shipping.

not a food source period. The thiamese ( ?) deficiency builds up over time so just stay way from fw feeders

Maybe the time to think of this was before you bought the lion fish.

You can try frozen on a feeding stick if it needs the motion to recognize the food.
