Your tank is certainly not inadequate, gf. Amano just has tons of money and time from selling all those books and articles and lectures and such. I bet his power bill is something to behold! What would we all do if we were rolling in dough? I couldn't imagine it, but for me it would involve a fish room of some type and planted tanks!

So don't feel bad, your tank is awesome!

I second Discomafia on the harlequin rasbora tank. That is an incredible tank.

I am my own worst critic. I will probably never be 100% content with my work but I think that is the key to my motivation.

When I observe aquascaping like that I realise what is possible, even for budget-minded hobbyists like myself. True, I'm getting closer, but I'm still far far away.

I imagine that few hobbyists could acheive aquascaping on Amano's level with all the money in the world, that's what makes his work special, masterful. Oh, and his photography skills - after all he was a photographer first.
