Linking Threads

If I open a thread in the New to whatever forum or area, and people tell me that I should ask in the Planted area, is it possible to open a thread in the Planted area and link or point it back to the original thread so we don't have to start the question all over.

Sure, copy & paste the url of the post you want to link to, and add it, here's an example;

I have a question about finding & tracking posts, it was suggested that I ask in here;

Or, you could ask a mod to move it, which is no problem, and why we are here.
