Link From Photobucket?

would i be wrong in thinking photobucket image links are blocked?
 
every time i try to use a direct link i get the following messsage

You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community.

or is there a specific format i need to put the link in?

You are incorrect.  Many members use photobucket to host their pictures.  I use flickr, so I cannot direct you specifically, but I'm sure someone else can.
 
 
 
In the meantime, try to post images that have the extensions:  *.jpg,  
 
So, if the website you are linking doesn't end like that, you are linking to a page, not a picture.

Not that it has spaces embedded so that you can see the full link.
 
Then type this (but without the spaces):
