I've got some Limnophelia Aromatica growing nicely in my tank, it's growing real well and fast.
However it's just green, where i want it to at least be slightly purplish/red.

I've read that it'll only change if conditions are right for it. Does anyone know what these are, or have got theirs turning red?

Thanks

Generally to get plants more red then dose iron, starve the plants slightly of nitrogen and provide lots of light.

I've never found adding extra iron to make any difference to making plants red. What I've found is good GH and good phosphates works well. Limiting nitrates works by stressing the plant and is OK in the short term but you'll run into problems if you keep it this way too long. You can actually have good red colour with just 2wpg but having more does help.

Thanks guys.

I'm already dosing EI, and whilst the plants are doing well, i guess i have to change something for the red to come through
