As some of you may remember I made a thread awhile back asking about limestone. Well I'm here in Texas my third day here and I have 8-10 pieces of true texas holey rock or Honeycomb whichever you prefer. Now my question. How do I sterilize it?

How about soaking it in a solution of the stuff used to steralize baby's bottles?

Failing that I should have thought tipping a couple of gallons of boiling water over it will have the same effect.

BOILING WATER!!
It will kill anything nasty :alien: Good idea about the sterelizing stuff but whatevers in it might be good for humans is not Necessarily good for fish!? Dont know but i know the boiling water deffo works. Leave it in boiling water for like half an hour keep chainging the water 4-5 times you will know it is clean.

I would got with rl1oyd on this one.

Boiling stone for use is most likely the best method that you can use. I would boil them rather than dousing them with boiling water as I don't think that this would have the same effect as a prolonged immersion in boiling water, as the water would cool too quickly and the effect would not be as great.

Its time to get the big pots out!!!!!!!!!!

I took a couple of pics but they came out really bad. And I have been boiling them for an hour and a half, is that long enough?
