Lilly Shinking Problem

my tank is a 10 gall with 2.5 wats per gall planted with laterite and root tabs no co2

i reacently bought a nice BIG red lilly and planted it in my tank /

after a week my lilly leafs got really small

what can i do to make it regain its size

As in they shrunk? Or did the old ones die and the new ones are small?

My red tiger lotus (lily) had loads of long stems and big leaves when I got it. They all promptly died off and after a few weeks it started to shoot smaller leaves on shorter stems - over time the leaves increase in size and the stem length increases aswell.
