Currently home to 7 molly and 2 guppy fry. The tank is semi brackish and I think it's about 5 gallons.

I like it exept for the scull thing and i find that for fry tanks it is much easier to have just a bare tank, not even substrate is needed. Other than that its fine.

LOL! I'm not too keen on the skull either but it was the only thing the lfs had that tey could swim in and out of, although they don't seem to go near it! And the substrate........well, now I wish I hadn't bothered cos I'm scared to vac it in case I suck up a baby but it's too late now. Next time the tank's empty I'll take it out.

Why are you keeping them in a semi-brackish tank? Mollies only really thrive in brackish as they get older, and guppies shouldn't be kept in it.

They were born in semi brackish conditions, they lived in a breeding net for weeks in semi brackish conditions. Would you have suggested I just took them out of what they were used to and plop them into fresh water? Anf guppies do fine in brackish conditions, as do most live bearers.
I've got the same skull! :good:
I think yours is the bigger one! And I love your pirate ship, I've seen one similiar, would love it for my big tank, but it's £30, and I'm skint just now. Your tank is gorgeous, how are the new fish settling in?

Okay. I guess if they where born in brackish, then it does make sense

Personally, though, brackish isn't needed till' they get bigger.
