hi ive seen this site for this lighting set erm heres the link http://www.aquatics-online.co.uk/Z497164.asp im going to try and buy the Interpet Twin (2x36w) T5 Power Compact Convertagear and i just want to know what bulbs should i get. blue moon with Daylight Plus ? or blue moon with Triplus itll be for corals eventually and fish. im not really too cure on the combinations of lighting shades / spectrum or whatever you want to call it

also how many kg of live rock would i need to give excelent filtration ( so i dont need a skimmer or bio wheel) its a 65litre

i know there has been a few problems with he 55 watt twins. they were getting to hot and melting the plastic sheald, wich was then sticking to the bulb. i think they have now fixed the problem. by making the plastic shroud/holder smaller . but i am not to sure. you will be better of just geting some t5 units as these don't give of the same amount of heat as the PC. hope that helps

Rob

id love to get some t5 units but they just arent in my price range. and i havnt been ale to find any that are the length of my tank as i dont see the point in buying a 30 inch bulb and all that when i only need a 15inch anyway if they get hot ill just whack in an old pc fan should cool nicely

I'd get two of the Daylight/Blue combo lamps if you want to keep corals and fish :good:

oki dokey thanks would i just leave this on constantly (day and night) also how much live rock would you recomend for a 14 gallon?

Power compact lighting should be left on for an 8-10 hour cycle driven by light timers (so you dont forget ;)). LR should be 1lb/gallon so in your case ~14lbs

are you in the uk mate or over the pond , i was going to get these lights too so i have found the best prices already :) :good: if you want them just say so and i will get them sorted for you :D

im in the uk (shropshire) and im intrested in saving a bit of cash. only problem im having all this for christmas
